Does anybody else get nauseous after drinking?

I seem to get sick after the first sip of a liquid after I haven't had in a while. Usually water is the thing that gets me sick the most. (And that SUCKS) Usually after I wait a few minutes and it goes away. I take small sips too! Does anyone else have this problem???? (I'm almost 4 weeks out)

I went through different phases early on where water made me nauseous. Otherwise I did not have nausea nor I do I ever easily get nauseous. I had to add a no carb mix in (crystal light, sugar free koolaid, propelzero) for a short period of time. Hopefully it will go away, but for now just get your fluids in any way you can with the least discomfort. It didnt last long in my case and everyday I'd take a couple of sips of plain water to see if I could handle it.

Hang in there.

This happens to me all the time too.  I am about 3 weeks out.  I feel like I am sooooo thirsty, but can't seem to quench it because I get so nauseous.

Yes, I find that warm drinks go down better. Or the flavored waters.

I am 3 weeks post-sleeve, and I am finding that I need to take drinking very slowly, particularly after eating. I was told to wait 45 minutes after eating before drinking, and they weren't kidding. I'm finding that food, however soft, is acting like a 'plug' and water just sits on top of it and backs up into my throat. I am really learning that I have no choice but to carry water around and sip constantly, because if I wind up in a situation where I'm both hungry and thirsty, I can easily mix the two and wind up nauseous or worse.
