Same here....eat too fast.  Now that I don't get hungry I get nervous about getting enough calories so when it starts getting later and I have not eaten I wind up eating too fast.   My doctor also says this is not a diet and we should eat what we want within reason and portions. Knowing as I progress I will be able to do just that keeps me going.

 Don't beat yourself up. I am also afraid of doing it wrong, esp when your body doens't blast you for it right away afterwards. I started my full liquids tonight with 2 teaspoons full of sugar free ice cream. I felt so guilty for it but remembered, i have had two finger bowls full of clear broth and some water, tea and juice. i didnt overdue it but feel guilty because my first full liquid was ice cream. ugh! Please keep posting your struggles as I am right behind you and could def use it as someone reminding me I am only human.

 besides hungry? Ha! I am doing pretty well. had a very awake and happy last two days and today slept til 11:30 for some reason and had no energy. Hopefully, tomorrow will be better. 

What does our post op appt consist of with Dr Wagner? I have just been wondering what to expect.

You know what you did. You recognize that you need to change the habit. Then I say you're still on the right track.

I tried to chew 30 times but it really sucks so I just focus on taking really small bites. I still chew pretty well but not even close to 30 times and it works for me.
