Stressing
I am currently stressing! My surgeon wants me to be at 220 by my nexf appointment on Feb 9. So that is about 32 lbs that i need to lose. I am averaging about 2/3 lbs a week losing. I know i can lose more but i have slacked on my exercise because I am having hip surgery in a few weeks. I am still having a very very hard time getting in all of the protein and water. I am more so concerned about the protein and water than the goal that the surgeon wants me to be at he was kind of disappointed at my 3 month post op visit because he thought i should have lost more weight. Ugh! Any tips?

I think losing an average of 4 lbs/week is pretty good. My average was 2 lbs/week. You need to really try hard on the protein and fluids. It's not easy and took me a while to consistently get the 64 oz minimum. Other than that, can you cut back more on carbs? Watch sodium too. I drop pounds quickly when I cut back on carbs/sodium.

49 lbs in 3 months? Ummmmm.... That is pretty damn amazing. I have lost 33 lbs (no sleeve yet) in a YEAR and I think if I lost 49 in 3 months, I would just scream with joy!!! So u r doing really good! Your surgeon is probably pushing u so that u don't slack off. But you are doing great!!!
As far as I'm concerned, your doc can stick it! You are doing this for you, not him...49 pounds in three months is fantastic! You are right to worry more about what you're doing rather than his goals for you. Keep the protein up and get tha****er in and the pounds will drop. Great job!
