How many calories/carbs for maintenance?
It's trial and error. My calories are now about 1400-1600, carbs around 80-100. I've been maintaining within a 5 lb bracket for several months. Start by adding 100-200 calories per day for a week and see how it goes. If you still lose and want to stabilize, add another 100-200 for a week and see what happens. It can take several weeks to find the right spot.
Think it is different for everyone I have been maintaining over three years now on about 1200-1500 but that is not to say that I don't have an occasional 2000 or even more day every now and then. Amazing I never thought I would ever be able to get in that many calories but margaritas and chips guacamole add up lol but what I do is weigh myself religiously I mean to the point of when we go onvacation or just away for the weekend I actually pack my scale . Now I know a lot of people don't agree with this but I find it keeps me in check I allow myself a three pound leeway if I go above that I go to protein shakes for a day or two or a couple meals and I'm right back down. You see my logic is I would much rather diet for one or two days a month than avoid the scale and the. See I'm up 10-20lbs and have to diet for a month so I just keep it in check. Be careful of carbs they are so easy to go down and they make you hungrier and just want more I sometimes find myself having to de-carb every once in awhile to but just a few days hope this helps best wishes to you
