That's what I kept thinking when I heard people talk about "buyers remorse" or getting depressed after surgery.

Well....I can't really say I have it....but there is some real weird thoughts and emotions going on.  My wife was going to the grocery store today and I thought.....great opportunity to get some walking in....bad idea.  I thought I was gonna crawl out of my skin looking around at all the food there.

I just never thought it was going to affect me that way - even on my pre op diet I could walk around in a grocery store or go out with people and it would not cause that type of reaction.

The good news is that these feelings are fleeting and I keep going back to the stories and experiences shared on OH and I know they will be temporary.  Just weird how those things can hit you even if you know they are coming.

Fluid intake has increased each day.  Ice chips the evening of surgery.  1 oz chicken broth, 4 oz decaf tea, 4 oz isopure day after surgery (still on IV).  40oz fluid in today and will increase tomorrow....(just having trouble getting used to the new feelings of things going down).  Also walked around the store and walked several laps around the park while my daughter played in the kids playground.  That helped brighten the mood!

Hey dude, you're doing well!  40 oz liquid just two days after surgery is pretty good!

I totally understand about the weird emotions. My head hunger issues were really bad the first few days. It does get better but this is the biggest mental challenge I have ever had. I now totally undestand how others were tempted to cheat or eat things that were not on their plan right after being sleeved. I won't give in but boy it is hard. This board has been an absolute lifesaver for me and so has journaling my thoughts. The mind is a powerful thing indeed!

Yeah - food felt weird going down for the first 2 months for me. Now it feels normal, just a lot less of it.

OT - I'm being forced to watch the entire game because I'm on vacation at a friend's in Texas. All I can do is Geesh - terrible game.
