 Hello,

The weary teacher couldn't find a thread, so I am throwing up a post.

60 minutes on the eliptical.  I must say knowing that I check in each day is seriously helping.  Long fatiguing day today, at least 6 hours of grading left to go still tonight, and I would have never exercised if it were not for the posting.

Sigh, off to grading.  Is it bad that I am paying my daughter $10 an hour to help me with the grading?  Lol.  She wants to be a teacher so I chalk it up to great practice for her!

Awesome!  I too worked out today.  30 minutes on treadmill at brisk walk and 40 miutes of weights on lower body.  I am sore and exhausted tonight.  I am going to the gym now 4 days a week.  I love the eliptical but I need to get more weight off before I do it again because of my knees.

I am joining this thread cuz I am just not consistent with my exercise.  I think about doing my treadmill everyday but don't end up going on it.  Once I am on it I love it but getting me on is the issue.  Hopefully being accountable will help with my motivation.

I love the accountability too. It really helps me keep on track. 1 hour on the elliptical today, exceeded my highest speed and highest distance. This is kind of fun.

I just got home from the support group meeting with Dr. Cirangle.  It was awesome, but  I did not have any time to post today, so thank you for starting this thread.  Please, please, feel free to start one anytime.  I walked for one hour today at about 18 min. mile.  My hunger is still a bit out of control and I addressed that with Dr. Cirangle today.  He wants me to eat more protein, closer to 100 grams a day.  It looks like I am going to have to start journaling my food again to make this happen. I will do whatever it takes.  On another note, I did just send out the support group notes for those people *****quested them.  It was a very lively group this month and we covered a good deal of ground.  Dr. Ciragle mentioned that doing more weight resistance after about 20 min, of cardio is ideal.

I ran 2 miles at 5 mph on the treadmill and walked another mile at 3.5 mph w/ 4% incline and did 30 minutes of weight lifting, only one set of sit-ups.
I do my weight lifting right after running because I find my muscles are nice and warmed up so the lifting is easier.

Elina, I was having issues with my muscles not responding well the next day after a good workout. I like to workout every day but once a week, more for the mental habit than overdoing it.
I found, after posting the question on this board, that if I take in the 100 grams of protein, my muscles appear to repair themselves faster so the next day workout is easier. Now I'm just looking for the best protein for this.

Seems to help the last couple days. I'll keep you posted.

Thanks for the thread, it helps.
