Found this - what do you guys think of it?  The label reads very low in carbs/sugar and high in protein...

Thoughts?

Is this the product you're looking at?

http://www.sixstarpronutrition.com/products/protein35/index. shtml

Probably not the best because of this statement:
1The protein blend in Professional Strength Protein Shot 35 contains hydrolyzed collagen    protein, hydrolyzed whey protein and hydrolyzed casein protein.

Collagen protein is not what we really need as a primary source of protein.  Here's 2 links to previous post on this.

Lot's of other choices out there.

Interesting - I'm looking for something to throw in my purse for ease when traveling for work.  Any ideas?

Are you talking about the drive to work each day?-----I would just find a ready made that you like and drink it along the way. I have mine while I'm driving to the gym or office in the am.

If you're talking about traveling for work or spending the day in a car going one place to another---I would baggie up some powdered mix in snack bags (1 scoop/serving per bag). You can store them in a blender bottle and just use as needed. Or keep them in your car and add to bottled water and shake it up.

I use RTD Lean Body by Labrada and EAS powder if I need it (I don't do very much of this)

Is that what you need?

Thanks - driving back and forth to work is not a problem; it's traveling out of state and then being in conferences all day and some evenings.

If you pack the powder, do you have problems with Airport security in your carry-on?  For the  1-2 nighters, I usually only take carry-on luggage.

I never have had a problem. I just squeeze as many of the filled snack bags as possilbe in the blender bottle and I'm ready to go.

BTW---you can put some sf pudding in with the protein powder to up the flavor a little if you need to ---tricks of the trade 20 months out.

I look like I'm travelling with baggies of cocaine when I travel.  I put each serving of protein powder in a snack size baggie, then put the little baggies in a big baggie.  I also take individual packages of beef jerky (100 calories/18g protein per bag) with me, along with a few Quest protein bars.  The protein powder is for my usual protein coffee.  The rest is just for emergencies, but I'm seldom anywhere that I can't find SOMETHING to eat.  I like having the safety net, though.

Thanks everyone - I'm only 7 weeks out and sometimes feel like a "VSG-baby."  I've made some wrong choices and trying to learn.

Appreciate your input!
