I have almost exactly the same stats, but I had my surgery two months BEFORE you. So your loss has been really good for that amount of time. However, I am exactly where you are now, including the stall. I started at 236 on the day of surgery and now I'm at 183 and I've been there for almost 4 weeks now. It is frustrating and I'm also not sure what to do, so I'm not much help. I suppose I'm writing in support. I know that I need to up my fluid intake. That has helped me in the past. Hang in there. We can get through this together.

You have had a huge loss for a couple of months.  I dont belive this is a true stall as you are still losing just slower.  Becouse of your fast loss your body needs a little time to adjust....  My bet is your going to pick up again within the week.   This has been the norm for me throughout my journey.  I keep charts and graphs that show my weight loss and when I have a huge dip... like a few weeks ago... It is always followed by a stall or slow loss.   For me it usually averages out to 10 lbs a month... sometimes 5 lbs in one week and other weeks 1lb or none.  LOL   It can be frustrating but the graphs so I expect it and measuring helps me not worry to much.   Take a deep breath.  Your a newbie and have several months of great weight loss ahead of you.

what do you mean by 10 per day carbs? do you mean grams?  I would drop the snacks and just eat three times per day. drink more fluids and get sweaty during your work outs.  probably need to do something like and elyptical trainer or arc trainer.  What is your walking speed? do you walk up hil? do you do stairs etc... anything that ups your heart rate and makes you sweat.  Also you may want to start weight training to speed up you metabolism. If you do weight train you will probably need one protein snack either before or after a work out.  Also you should measure yourself to know if you are losing inches.  I have had a month where I lost only 2 lbs doing everything I was suppose to... also when i had a cold I didn't lose anything for 2 weeks... but during that  time I lost two jeans sizes... then when losing started again I have been losing about 3 lbs a week. it seems that the body loses fat with out it registering on the scale for a bit.  If you keep track of other things besides the scale then It helps to see progress even when the scale is not moving. Hope this helps... Take care and dont stress quite so much... our bodies produce more cortizol (the stress hormone) and that hinders weight loss too... focus on the good and keep thinking that your gonna do it ... it helps

yes lol...I mean about 10 grams of carbs per day....I only snack because thats when I am huingry--I was told because I couldnt eat alot, I am to eat when I am hungry--if  I do not do this, I will not get in all my protein :( I dont know what else I am to do if I can only eat about 1 1/2 at a time? I do walk daily--not sure how fast? but I do break a sweat--not daily--hyst here and there--I also wear my sweat band at times---when I do my other excercise, I do not normally sweat much--I mean even when I do my zumba....Thanks so much for your thoughts :)

Yesterday my nut told me I was stalled b/c of my water intake- she said to drink 80oz and that should help.

I have noticed one common factor in almost every thread about a frustrating stall - and that is that the water intake is marginal or too low.

I also agree that things will balance out over time for you, but I think increasing your water intake will make a difference as well.

I agree be sure to increase water intake that should speed things up. You may want to add fish oil to your supplements it is suppose to block some fat absorbtion. I just added it last week after some research and it helped me with my stall.
