Crushed Pills - How Long?

Just wake up today and commit yourself to sticking to plan.  In my humble opinion (IMHO) you are in the most difficult part.  You will be very very glad you went through the effort to lose a few pounds before your sleeve though, both for the weightloss and the transition into the diffierent eating habits.

Try not to worry about the liver issue (but still follow your plan).  There are people on this site who were not required to do any preop diet at all, others that had to lose 5%, and others at 10%, etc.  This varies by which surgeon you use.  I also was worried about not making my minimim- 5%.  I ended up doing it and reflect back on it as a great learning experience.  Is this what triggered my super easy recovery?  Not sure, but insanely glad I did it!

Each time I go off plan I always take some tme to reflect on:

1.  What I think caused it.  This way I can identify triggers and better manage it the next time around.
2.  How I handled it.  I try to develop strategies to handle these issues so when the next unexpected time hits I will be just a little bit better about coping.
3.  What can I learn from it- this goes beyond just "me" and into dynamics of the big picture so to speak.
4.  I revisit previous transgressions to look for patterns.

My transgressions will be a part of this journey.  My goal is to make them a little further and further apart each time, and a little less damaging each time.

Goodl luck with your preop plan and your sleeve date will be here before you know it!

Happyteacher! Thank you so much! Your response to my struggles is amazing. It was exactly what I needed to hear. I am very anxious to start this new chapter in my life in so many ways it tends to be a bit overwhelming

Wow, That's different. I'm to go on a full liquid diet 3 weeks prior to, and after surgery. limitations of carbs, very little fat, and a full liquid diet is what decreases the liver size.

I dont have to crush any. My doc said anything the size of a Tylenol or smaller are fine to swallow.
