Thanks so much!  My surgery date is listed under my photo there on the left.  I appreciate the advice!  I'll try harder to slow down :)

Shrimp is my almost daily treat.  i always have them in the fridge or freezer for days when i don't get in my protein needs or when i have an extra hungry day.  I've had no problems and never saw them on a no no list.  So if you are not having a problem with them i would say you are fine.  What would get stuck unless you're consuming them with the shell.

You know scratch that, i just looked at your surgery date.  Also not the best thing if you have high cholesterol.

Hi khessmd, I would think it is still quite early for shrimp. I would hold off until at least after 2 months. I was sleeved 2/16 and I can have chilli now, but nothing like shrimp. I can have only soft white fish. I baked some catfish on yesterday & could only eat 1 oz.  So take it slow & let everything heal, then you can have all those things you used to love just in much smaller portions. Starting next Friday I can have deli meats, can't wait!!

Enjoy your progression in your diet!  The deli meats will be a treat for you i'm sure.  My doctor / NUT didnt have anything like that.  I went from soft foods  to solids.  So I'm trying out different things now :)

Being from the south, any seafood has been a part of my diet since I could eat solid foods.  Now, I dont do them fried because the batter fills me up but I loved boiled shrimp and at alot of restraurants I can get away with ordering a shrimp ****tail and being full after that! Shrimp are a great source of protein, jus****ch out how they are prepared because they can have alot of sodium in them.  I cut mine into little pieces and chew them well, I have never had an issue!

That's good to hear!  I can eat solids now so I am trying different things to see how well it goes down.  Experimenting hehe.  Up here in Maryland we cook a lot of our seafood with Old Bay seasoning .. especially our crabs.  It is full of a lot of sodium but it is so good.  Very spicy though.  With shrimp though the old bay gets peeled off with the shell.

I have Been eating both shrimps and chili since about 3 weeks out with no problem. The shrimp are sautéed and the chili is home made.

I lived in MD for quite awhile.

You gotta suck on the shrimp before you peel it!  That gets you all the juice and old bay!
