Found something really tasty and healthy for the mushy foods and it's fast food!!!

Chick-fil-a = a small bowl of chicken tortilla soup (w/o tortialla chips) is delicious! It's full of really well cooked white beans, shredded chicken, corn and so yummy! And it's not super liquidy...so it's a mushy consistency through and through. And there's only like 80 calories, 9 carbs, 9 protein, and 7 fiber...which I am so in need of!

I think that seems pretty good to me!

Best part - it's YUMMY!!!! I can go with friends and take my toddler to the play ground and eat like a normal person! :-D

I saw that advertised on their sign when I drove by yesterday.  Looked yummy!!  I have had to turn to soups a lot with my band, and I was thinking, "Sheesh, now that I am getting sleeved and won't live on soups, they come up with a good one!"  I didn't thinka bout the mushy phase.

I just started mushy foods today. I had a little bit of beef stew. I was in heaven! The carrots were great.

I wish I had a chik-fil-a here, but we don't so boo :[ But the soup sounds great!!

It's really good. I have only been to Chick-fil-a twice b/c my oldest has a peanut allergy, but I was at a b-day party and I didn't plan accordingly...so while everyone was eating hot dogs and chips, I ran to get some soup at the closest place...and it was soooo good! I didn't even mind the delcious smells coming from the grill or the cake or anything b/c I had something that was culinarily wonderful! :-)

That's my take though...my tastes have changed though...so it may just be the after surgery talking...but it works for me. :-)

BE VERY CAREFUL OF ANYTHING CONTAINING CORN!!  Corn is a food that shouldn't be added (on most plans****il after getting to the unrestricted diet stage.  It is very hard to digest and might be rough on your partially head suture line in your tummy.

If you want to eat this, either take it home and blend it to chop up the corn or pick the corn kernals out.

This is just to be on the safe side.

THanks for the reminder about corn...I don't remember if I ever heard that before. I had no problem with the soup...it's mostly bean and chicken anyway. I ate maybe 1/3 of the bowl and had no more than 10 corn pieces...so that's probably why it didn't bother me.

I liked that the consistency of the soup was almost like a blended...without being completely pureed. I chewed the heck out of it too.
