wow, stumbled on some of my old clothes...

I am packing to go on a cruise tomorrow, and I had shoved some of my old clothes into my suitcase when we move.I pulled these jeans out and cannot believe I once wore those comfortably!!!!! There is a huge size difference in a 24w and a 14, though I still cannot grasp it. I guess I never thought I looked as heavy as I was, and now I do not think I look as small as I actually am. It's weird, and i know purely psychological. It is amazing that I have come this far is six short months! 

That is awesome!!!!! I can't wait to have my husband crawl in the attic and get my box of "skinny" clothes :) and replace them with my box  of "not-so-skinny" clothes!!

I am going through the same thinking. I have gone from a size 28 to a size 20! Can't wait until I am a size 14 or 16!! I will be doing a happy dance when I get there!

Body image is a strange thing. 

Down 50+ and I don't think I look small(er), I think I look just like I should.  Pre op I would catch a glimpse of me and think "that's not right".  I know many have posted saying that they still see themselves as being heavy.  For me reality is matching up more with my internal image.  Maybe at goal I will think I can't really be that small.

I am wishing I kept one pair of my big pants just to look back on, but cest la vie.

OMG, we are also going on a cruise right at my 6 months post op and I hope I'm down 91 pounds like you are! Congrats!

So are we! It's our 25th wedding anniversary and I was sleeved on the 5th of Jan. our cruise is on the 10th of June. So exciting!!!
