Just wondering...Surgery cost for self-payers

I was just wondering what everyone paid for their sleeve.  With Dr. Washington, he has a sleeve special for $8K all inclusive in the US.  I opted to go with him instead of out of the states because of his price.

Dr. Thomas Borland in New Iberia, Louisiana charges $9800 all inclusive. You have to pay for your presurgical labs. All total, my labs, x-rays and EKG were less than $300. All office visits after surgery are included in the original price.

Mine was $8750 plus airfare to get to San Diego, where I was picked up and taken into Mexico.

Personally, I felt like it was worth it to pay a little more because of the extra time and attention I got in the hospital, but then again I don't know anything about Dr. Washington, so I really can't compare. As long as you have done your research and feel like you are going to someone you trust, then go for it!

$18K including pre-op online and in person classes, lab-work, doctors visits, anesthesia, private room in the hospital,a year of follow-up care with the doctor, nutritionist, and exercise physiologist. The program is pretty comprehensive in terms of eating plan, support, etc.

My insurance pays for my post-op lab work.  Visits with the surgeon are $75 after one year as are visits with the exercise physiologist.

Mine was 12,000. and included everything that Krazydoglady posted.
Just remember money is not everything...be sure and do your homework on your Dr. , hospital and all involved!
Good luck!

Oops...sorry...the above did not include an exercise physiologist.

I paid $15K with Dr. Curry.  That price included preop endoscope, bloodwork, 23 hour stay at the surgery facility and all follow up care.

I live in Michigan and the doctor's here or $11,500 and up, and they don't cover it all. so that is way Im going to Dr. Washington and they are paying for all of my pre-op and post op. And with the travel it is still less to go to SC. I will see you in July
