THE SCALES NOT MOVING
I never hit my 3 week stall but I am in a 7 week stall. It varies for everyone. I too am just sticking to the diet and know the stall will break. I go to the gym 5-6 days a week and even played indoor soccer for 2 hours yesterday. Our body's will continue dropping the pounds once it adjusts itself.
Not sure if your taking measurements but many people find that even when the scale does not drop the inches do. I will find out on wednesday if the inches have dropped even though I know they have because clothes are fitting looser

Mine has apparently started too, and I'm not even on mushies yet! I've actually gained back about a pound and a half, according to the scale. I know that's impossible on the amount of calories I'm getting in (like you, about 300-400), but it is very frustrating.
We'll both get through this, just like everyone else does. And it'll be worth it, even if it doesn't seem like it now.

Great job on the weight loss so far!!!!!
Have you tried doing different exercises? If you can and the Dr. allows, try finding somewhere to swim. Take some empty water bottles or milk jugs and leave the air in for resistance or you can put some water in for the same out of water. Don't get discouraged. Easier said than done, I know! But you have already come so far! DO NOT let the scale intimidate you. You keep working the program and doing everything right. You will show that scale who's boss!!!!!
Go kick some scale butt!

That happenned to me as well. (my surgery dat ewas March 8th, 2012) Lasted about 2 weeks I went up and down a pound or so. As I close my 5th week and head into my 6th week I'm down 4 pounds. I just kept reading this website for encouragement and emails back and forth to my surgeon and I got through it. It really breaks and pounds will begin to drop off again.. Just wait it's as exciting to happen just as it was immediately post op weight loss..
Keep up the good work!!

Hey Bruce.
I didn't even read the rest of the post, just yours. LOL
Its 3 weeks andf here's whats happening....
1. You still have a lot of healing going on. Most of your stomach (that would be a major organ) was cut out. Therefore you need to heal..,.To heal you need to retain fluids. Thus the scale does not move. The fat goes down, the fluids go up.
2. Next is the "\I can eat a lot" phase. Your stomach has nerves that are severed...They are numb in the beginning but eventually they come alive again. So when you start solids, you can eat more "comfortably: then it gets harder or maybe I should say "different"...as the nerve endings come back to life.
Stick to your eating plan while it's easy. Then it will be a habit when it gets harder.
Bottom line?...Only bet a hand that can win.
cheers

3 weeks out getting 500 ish calories a day, weighing every day for 3 straight weeks and nothing, no movement, very discouraging but I knew from the posts here that it was something that happens and I lost a belt loop, so I knew something was going on.....and I learned my lesson with the scale, once a week....that was hard to do... because like you I was used to every morning was a new Christmas present, a lower weight.... I know from logging my food what the scale should be doing. Keep at it, its all good....your going to do well
