Vitamin questions/sorry if its been posted ALOT!
Please forgive me, I am not a vitamin guru and need lots of help. For VSG surgery.. requirement for Vitamin D3 is 1000-2000 a day and the vitamins Im thinking of getting do not have a listing for Vitamin D3 specifically, but does have 600IU of Vit D. Do I need to take a D3 of1000-2000 still or does the 600 of Vitamin D count towards that 1000-2000?
Can it be liquid (I thought I read on here that it has to be dry but I cant remember for which surgery that was for)
Calcium citrate needs are 1200-1500 a day..vitamin has 200 mg of Calcium..is that different and on its own or do I need to only get in another 1000-1300?
Thanks for all *****ply even if this is probably overkill

We don't need dry D, we don't malabsorb fats.. count that D towards your goal. Are you basing this off your labs? Many folks are very low on D (as was I) and it took several months of supplementing D3 at 7000-10000IU a day to get mine from 30 to 89.. I now take D3 5000IU a couple times a week. The level you are talking about is likely fine for maintaining an already good number, so likely no harm to start there.
That calcium, is there iron in the supplement too? If so, don't even count it. Iron competes for the same uptake as iron, not a good combo. It wouldn't hurt to just call that a non-issue and supplement your calcium separately.
