I agree with the others.  When I was cleared for puréed food in week two, my mom made a batch of puréed soup that had a couple tiny pieces the size of pulp in OJ. I had one bite, started vomiting, and had to go back to full liquids for almost 3 weeks due to swelling.  Couldn't even get protein shakes in, they were too thick.  The only thing I could drink was water and milk.  Not worth it if you ask me.  Take it slow and if your stomach heals well, you won't have to worry about those things. Just my opinion.

I had a little bit of soft tuna yesterday. I was kinda scared so most of it I chewed up but didn't swallow it. I got the taste and I only swallowed the very mushy parts of it. I get scared trying new things but so far it has been fine.

I'm a little nervous with what everyone's consensus about being too early so I think I may just boil some eggs, mix with tuna and a little FF mayo then purée a bit. I'll definitely be letting you guys know how it goes around 1 pm lol. I guess I will just be eating like 2 or 3 bites though?

I was cleared for pureed foods at 10 days after surgery.  Tuna was one of the foods I was allowed to have pureed.  I had tuna salad on day 12.  I mixed the tuna with fat-free Miracle Whip, onion powder, and a bit of sweet pickle juice (because I didn't want there to be any tiny chunks of relish and onion in there).  I then pureed the mixture.

It LOOKED like cat food, but after ten days of soups, it tasted really good.  I ate a few tablespoons and was fine.  Just make sure you take it slow and if it doesn't seem to agree with you, just stop eating it.

I tried tilapia at around two weeks out and my sleeve loves it! It was easier on me than some of the soups I was eating. Fish was not something I ate often prior to surgery but now I actually crave it at times. Do what you think is best for you
