SV - Hello 180s!!!
I told someone they'd hear me scream across the internet when I got into the 180s! Well, I am screaming! I have been consistently in the 180s for only a few days, but it seems to be sticking, and on the way down. Yay!
I am 3/4 of the way to my dream goal. Honestly, I am not sure that 160 lbs is really in the cards for me. I'm a 52-year-old post-menopausal woman that weighed 254 when she graduated from high school. I weighed 165 for about a week-and-a-half when I was 29, and I look kind of boney even then.
BUT I DON'T CARE!
If I continue to do my part, then I'll keep going SOMEWHERE! I am already a 14/16. This means, I can shop anywhere, I am not the biggest person in the room, I can fly with only as much discomfort as everyone else, I can move freely around my life.
Here is my promise: I will continue to be persistent. I will continue to imperfectly follow my food plan even if I don't get any smaller, because I have PEACE OF MIND around food. I will try to remember my REAL goal is sane eating, not a number on the scale. Sane eating is its own reward.
In this battle, willingness to listen to others is more important that self-awareness, intelligence, etc. THANK YOU!!
Woo Hoo!!! Congrats to you! It's true not to get so hung up on a particular number, but never say never about the 160's...you just don't know till you get there. I hoped I'd get to 140, and have consistently been in the lower 130's for almost a year now. I could drop lower, but think I look too thin at the lower end of the bracket. It's great to shop in the regular sizes...there is just so much to choose from!
