"and then there is the fat girl...who always beats her in to submission"-- LOL That is so right!!

Check out my blog, I have written something almost every day since surgery and I have addressed some of the exact fears you are having.  It's going to be hard, that isn't a lie.  It's different.  You will be able to eat again, and you will be able to enjoy your favorite things, just smaller amounts.  It's different the first time you eat a family meal, but what my husband and I do is get a little spoonful of everything so we can taste it, but not over eat.  Although it is hard to stop when it's so good.  But, believe me, your sleeve WILL MAKE you stop.  You will pu**** and you will get sick, but it's all part of the learning process.  Believe me, it will be worth it in the end.

The crazy part is you will eat like 3 ounces of food and be so full, and think you just pigged out, but then, you sit around and watch everyone continue to eat and eat 4 or 5 times the amount you just ate, and realize it's not so bad.  DOes that make sense?

I know last night for instance, my hubby and I had take out from a mexican restraunt, he got a 1/2 order of nachos, and I got an appetizer, and both of us couldn't finish ours, we ate about 1/2 each and thought we just stuffed our faces.  But, when we started talking, we realized that before surgery, we would have each eaten that, plus an entree.  It's AMAZING.

You'll still battle the fat girl inside.  You'll have days when you want to go to the gym and you want to work out, and you'll still have days when you want to just eat, ALL DAY LONG, but that's just part of it.  You just can't let yourself always eat the crap.

You will do fine!  Good luck!  If you ever need anyone to talk to, feel free to contact me! :)
