Well, I made mention on another post about the fact that my husband and I ride Harleys and thought I should make mention of a not so nice side effect of weight loss....

I ride a 2006 Harley Road Glide, lowered and chromed just the way I like it.
However,
100 pounds makes a huge difference!
I can no longer ride my bike safely!

Apparently the extra weight I carried was my counter balance.
I am really not able to move the machine the way I need to anymore.

It's for sale now, hoping to get something a little smaller in the near future. Maybe a Softail?
No CD player on that though..(sigh)

For now the MIATA will have to do for the summer.

Just thought I would share.

Awwww.... sorry to hear about this Donna.  Perhaps if you practice slowly and carefully you'll adapt - after all, non-obese people do ride!

If it makes you feel any better, I'm kinda accident prone (like walking into walls) and so my fiance/partner has declared I'm not allowed to buy a motorcycle :(

You too funny. I ride. Just not that bike. That bike is very heavy. Probably should'nt have bought it in the first place. Me being a little girl in a big body an all, lol. I had it lowered, front and rear and bought 2 different seats to try to make it work when I was a 100 lbs heavier...just not going to work now.

I'll get me another. Been riding a long time. For now the little sports car will work.

I have "Declared" that my hubs should not ride...I got "Pffft" in my face.
I think that's why I love him. Nobody "Pffts" me without serious thought about consequences and he just does it like..."bring it, bi*#ch" LOL

Still laughing at the thought.

gonna go mess with him now. LOL

Too funny,
Of COURSE I'm a biker!
Did you expect anything different?

Just this bike is too big now!
I need a Softail or a Custom..but with a cd after-market attachment...gotta have my music.

the sports car will work for now...the weather is awesome lately.

LOL

Love this! I'm sure you've thought of this, but thought I can throw it out there....! Perhaps since you're tiny now, you would look super cute on the back of his bike! Whenever I see that I think it looks so hot! There's always a side car! Ha!

Not gonna happen...once you get on the back of their bike, you are always last.
