Today was my first day trying to incorporate vitamins and 5 minutes after I took the multi it came right back up, my first time throwing up and not something I ever wanna do again. Has this happened to anyone else?

The zinc pills I got had that effect on me.

I take a chewable multivitamin. I've never been able to stomach the ones you swallow.

Good luck finding something that works for you! It's worthless if you can't keep it down :/

I have the chewable celebrate multi, I emailed my NUT about it so hopefully she can recommend something

The celebrate multi-vitamins make me very sick to my stomach. I can not use there brand. I'm far out enough now I no longer need a chewable.

Often. I find that it helps to take a few bites of food before, and a few bits after taking the multi. Also I do better if I take it at lunch or dinner, rather than first thing in the morning (i,e, breakfast).

Good luck - I hate when that happens.

Yes, this happened to me. i could not tolerate any vitamins until about 2 months out when i could take regular ones. the only ones i would not throw back up were the Trader Joes multi/mineral that is easy on the stomach. Good luck finding one :)

Definitely take your multi-vitamin AFTER you eat. I already tried to take my multi right before eating but I would still feel sick to my stomach.
I also switched to Trader Joe's High Potency Adult Chewable Vitamins & Minerals. It was on the list of acceptable vitamins from my doctor. I used to take Bariatric Advantage but their 3 month supply costs $50. The Trader Joe's vits are $7.99 for a 3 month supply. When I go to my 1 year check-up in 2 1/2 months, I will find out if those vitamins have been doing me good.

Hi Shagdoll,

I just found this post.  Can you tell me how your labs were with this multivitamin?  If that's not too personal.  Thanks.

Hey gurl, not personal at all ...
I actually just went in for my labs recently and my iron was really low.. I'm anemic BUT everything else was just fine.  There is some iron in this multi but I've always had a hard time with iron no matter what I've taken.  I love these adult chewables from Trader Joe's & they only cost $7.99 for a 3 month supply.  You only have to take 1 a day.
