Multivitamin made me throw-up

Thanks!
I'm going to give them a try. I do supplement iron already on top of the BA vitamins I take. So hope I'll be good. There is some liquid iron they sell at like whole foods...maybe try that? I know people have had some sucess with that. Also I've heard people don't have many problems with BA iron...but ewww the taste!

I was sleeved on 4/30 and could not take my multvitamins until week 4 (regular diet). I got sick from both ends when I tried to take them. I tried the chewable, even splitting the 2 up into 2 meals, and the ones you swallow. My doc wanted me to try liquid, but I was not about to spend even more money on vitamins after all the money I had already spend (plus was laid off after 23 years in the middle of all of this). Keep trying is all I can say, maybe go to a chewable or liquid if you have not tried that. It is extremely important to get them in as soon as you can. I was laughing yesterday because you are supposed to take them with food, but can't drink for 30 minutes after. I feel sorry for those that need a lot of liquid to swallow (thankfully I only need a little bit) because if I take them 30 min after I eat, my stomach gets very upset.
Hi Christine, I'm 3 1/2 weeks out, and struggling with the vitamins. I'm not on real food yet, and when I try to take them with my mushies, I get too full too fast. What I'm doing that seems to work is to take them with my protein drink. Drink a little, take a pill, drink some more maybe take another pill. I have to spread them out through the day, and I haven't gotten them all in in a day yet. The hardest for me are the calcium. The ones I got are large, and I'm supposed to take 3. Hate it.
Good luck & just keep trying!

My doc said not to worry about them until I could tolerate them. I had about two weeks of hit or miss with my regular nightly medication, so swallowing something even bigger was not on my "to do" list.
I now take one Trader Joe's "women's mega" multivitamin with my iced mocha protein in the morning. I added a joint supplement this morning with no ill effects.
The dosage of the multi is two, but I only take one. My most recent labs were all golden.
