You sound just like me! Don't worry it gets way way better and it will happen so fast.  Your going to be ok and you did make a great choice! Ask them to give you something more for the pain.  I had to get something stronger than morphine....see?! Now I'm a baby!  But you know what?  I did it!!!!

WALK WALK WALK. I swear walking makes the pain go away so much faster. Also, take the pain meds as long as they will give them to you. There's a reason for the dosage and the prescription. It's a journey. You're at the start. Two weeks from now, you will forget the pain and start feeling so much better! PROMISE!!

I felt the same way fourteen days ago!  Now, being fourteen days out and twenty-eight pounds lighter....I do not feel that way!  Hang in there...in the hospital you get no sleep, they are always giving you meds and it is depressing!  Go home...sip, get your protein in, walk and rest...it is so worth it!  :)

Most sleevers spend a niht or two in the hospital...I spent 3 days and 2 nights...just the drs protocol...but everyone's body is different..some have alot of pain, some little, and some not at all...when i first woke up i felt like a 10000lb person was sitting on my chest...the first night my o2 would drop in the 60's...even with me getting up and walking every 2 hours...they gave me breathing treatments and stuff the first night...by the next night I was ready to go...but never felt pain from my actualy surgery...just the build up of gases.

just to people considering the surgery...not everyone feels this crazy bad pain. I threw up a few times(always do from anesthesia, even after a dumb toe surgery) but never felt pain. Surgery soreness-yes. Tender areas-yes. But it was never anything that made me regret the surgery or feel so terrible. I was filled with excitement and had accepted that I had a little recovering to do to gain a new body/life and that was that.

Having said that, I'm sorry that you are feeling pain and don't fret...you will look back and say, "That was the best thing I've ever done for myself!" Just hang in there and rest and recover!
