How much weight???

I am having the same thing happen! I finally went down to 18, but I was at a 22 for the first 50 pounds or more. Just the way some of us are shaped too. For me, I'm WAY disproportionate-I'm in a M-L top, and a 18 bottom. Really?! I'm shaped like a pear, so if you're anything like me, that's how it works.
I also think the bigger sizes have more stretch in them, making them fit through several sizes.

You should go shopping, it helps.

I'm so close to my first 50,Maybe after tomorrow weigh in i will try on a smaller size and see.I'm very bottom heavy so maybe thats why i haven't really noticed a difference yet.

I think the bigger you are the longer it takes to switch sizes. It took me about 70ish pounds to switch sizes and I was looking overly baggy. It was bad. Don't be so eager to transition. It's very, very stressful and expensive. Granted, it's fun shopping but get those coupons ready and don't over buy because once you start switching sizes they don't last too long. My first lot of jeans went pretty quick and I damn near flew by an entire size in shirts.

btw, once the sizes start dropping and I gt into clothes that fit, I found that wearing baggy clothes was completely unacceptable so I refuse to keep wearing the clothes so long after they don't fit anymore. It's amazing how properly fitting clothes can make you feel.

I was thinking the same thing hwag,I kinda had a feeling that it would take me a while.I just wanted to see where and how everyone started to change size.I'm not worried about the shopping because i have a few pieces in my clothes of different sizes when i get there.

Well **** girl! Start playing dress up! My top sizes dropped a lot faster than my bottom. I remember being upset that my sizes weren't changing fast enough at first and feeling like the scale was moving but I must not be losing inches while I was seeing so many other people losing the same amount of weight and changing sizes... but they were also a lot smaller than me.

Are you on the 50+ BMI Board?

I am down 28lbs, and I have not changed pant size. I can wear a few shirts though, that were too snug before. Looking forward to the drop in sizes, for sure!

It was over 100lbs before I really started to get to the point I HAD to buy new clothes.

I've lost 135 now and it is like over night in the last 15 to 20lbs lost I have dropped sizes.  Infact, I just had to start purging clothes today because there were some that just flat out did not fit anymore.

It will happen, just be patient.  I know that's easier said than done!

HEy...there...pull some of the smaller sizes to the front of your closet and try them. I made the mistake of waiting to long to do that and only got to wear some of the things 2x's . Try the next size and see ...
keep trying every couple of weeks

About every 20 to 25lbs I drop a pant size. I have lost 61lbs. I was a tight size 24 and am now a tight 18 and loose 20. Depends on the brand. I can wear an XL in some shirts or a 1X When I was a 3X. Everyones body is different. Keep it up! You're doing great!
