Temperature change after surgery?

 I am hot ALL THE TIME.  I have heard that many people experience changes in being hot or cold all the time following surgery.  I am hoping that this will be true for me!  Temperature has always been a point of contention between my husband and I.  If you were always warm pre surgery, did that change post op?  If so, when did you notice the change?

 This is the first I've heard of anyone being hot all the time .. always feeling cold for sure.  I am hardly ever hot anymore .. even if its over 90 outside.

 Yes, I am still pre-op.  I have a week to go before my surgery. :) 

Thanks for the responses!  Apart from losing weight, I think this is the other potential change I am most excited about.  My hubby will be thrilled too!

 Jessica... We have this in common!!! I am almost just as excited to be cold as I am getting the surgery! My hubby and I deal with my hotness all the time... LOL It can be dead of winter and I will be in bed with covers off and the fan blowing while the husband is buried under covers and shivering...

 i was alwasy hot and i never wore a jacket, now after surgery i alwasy ahve some kind of jacket or sweater wiht me, even wiht it being over 100 outside i cover wiht a blanket when i watch tv.  my SO was alwasy the cold 1 LOL   we are more on the same temp now but i still get colder than him.. its a nice change but i have no desire to take a trip to the snow anymore

 I am cold most of the time since surgery.

Since surgery I'm freezing! I sleep with a sheet, a comforter and a blanket that's doubled.

I was freezing the first few months post op, the last month or so I'm finally not so cold.  But yes, I've heard many have a big temp change post op!  No more sweating!
