I'm sure I have been asking a lot of typical newbie questions.  But I have another one for you.  Thanks in advance for your advice and input and for all of the helpful advice I have already received!

I'm wondering what vitamins you have taken post-op and what you would recommend?  Is it really more beneficial to take the bariatric marketed vitamins or are more generic or less expensive options equally as helpful.  How many do you take of each suppliment?  I am especially curious about calcium supplements.  I need to clarify with my doctor when i get my sleeve next week because I have been told twodifferent things by their office and want to be sure I get it right.

It's crazy how expensive eating so little is becoming!  I feel like I have been spending, spending, spending lately with all the protein shakes/powders, vitamins, blending tools, etc.  I would love to find ways to have the health benefits withut breaking the bank.

This is the only thing I will use .. the video explains why.  I use their calcium as well.

This is one I've never heard of before.  There are just so many options out there!  It's hard to decide!

You're going to get a ton of "opinions" on this one.

I'm a big time vitamin advocate to take the best for your needs. Gummies and flintstones don't cut it. No two ways to about it, I know some use them, and do fine, but I never wanted to be one to NOT be fine.

Some research information on vitamins, along with a couple of blogs with research articles to explain the need for higher quality vitamins post-WLS.

I choose to take Celebrate Multi complete chewables (and I take them in bot of post-VSG pregnancies with zero deficiencies)

Celebrate Calcium Citrate 500mg with D and magnesium (in maintenance 1000mg a day, 2 chewables)

Sublingual B12 2500mcg daily in pregnancy, in maintenance 3-4 times weekly

And one personal story on taking subpar vitamins on here:

And you need Calcium CItrate, NOT carbonate.

I take
AM...1 centrum multi vitamin, b12 sublingual, 1 fish oil pill, prilosec
PM....2 calcium, 1 fish oil
I'm 17 mo out. My labs are great, no problem. I do also drink one or two protein shakes and eat very clean.
