How do I take my vitamins if I can't drink water with my meals?

I am in the research and pre-op stage for VSG. I wondering how I will take my vitamins  and prescriptions if I can't drink water with my meals? I always have to take my vitamins and prescriptions with water halfway through my meals with water or I become nauseous, and I take then with every meal. From what I have been reading, one cannot have water or liquids 1/2 hour before or after eating each each meal afer surgery. What can I do about this?

Just take a sip of water to swallow the pills. The point is to not be drinking while eating because it can wash the food on through, also can take up room in a small tummy that needs room for protein. I drink right up till I eat, but don't drink during or for at least half hour after.

I do the same thing. I'll drink before the meal, but not once I begin the meal. From time to time, if there is something on the table that I really like and know that I'll be tempted to pick at, I'll drink something on a full stomach, only because it makes me uncomfortably full and stops my urge to continue to pick at things (even when I'm not hungry).

You have to take them with as SMALL a sip as possible.

I switched to chewable vitamins for this very reason.  I can't take them on an empty stomach or I get sick.

I have about 20 vitamins and supplements that I take each morning. I take them with my protein shake because I will get sick if I take them on an empty stomach. They go down pretty well with the protein shake.

I take mine with my protein shake. There's not enough room for solid food plus vitamins for me. Some of my sups are capsules and some are chewable. 4 oz protein drink plus vitamins is a full meal!

That's easy ... drink your vitamins.  I wake up, drink my vitamins then eat 30 minutes later.  I'm done for the whole day.  Take my vitamins and calcium all at the same time in the same glass.  No popping pills all throughout the day like most other people.  Vit B12 shot once a month.. its very easy and convenient.
