Feeling shaky, dizzy, sweaty...what is going on?

I am just over a week post op.  I am getting in at least 64 oz of water per day, about 80g of protein and have stayed 100% on plan with my liquid diet.  My urine is almost completely clear.  The past 2 afternoons I have had weird spells of feeling dizzy, hands shaky, sweaty and weak.  Yesterday I had been outside for an hour when it happened.  Today I had only been inside.  I had finished protein shakes with 0 sugar and 0-3 carbs.  What is going on with me?  Is this normal?  I will be asking my doctor about it at my post-op appt on Thursday but in the meantime I wanted to throw it out there to see if this was common or to find some insight into what is up with my body.  Thanks!

Could be Low Blood Pressure??? I almost fainted a week out of surgery in the shower-I saw Dr that day and he immedietly took me off my HBP meds.

I would not wait til Thursday to speak to the Dr call immedietly!

I have never had blood pressure problems and have never taken any meds for it.  I will go ahead and give my dr a call.  Thanks.

I second the possible low bp post.  If you are on bp meds, the dose may be too high now.

Hope you feel better - keep up the great work!

I'm not on any bp meds and have never had blood pressure problems.  Could this happen under those conditions as well? Thanks for responding.

Called my doctor and now waiting for him to return my call.  I'm starting to get really emotional about this.  It's crazy!

Im feeling sick of my protein drinks and really want to eat something.  My stomach has been rumbling today and I feel like I'm hungry!  This is just head hunger though, right?  I will stay on path but man, would I ever love some pizza right about now!?!

I had the same thing and I'm 7 days post op. I'm 26 and my doc said its probably low blood sugar. He told me to drink/eat something with a little sugar in it. Completely sugar free isn't always the best. Try some diluted fruit juice. :)

I also felt empty after surgery and I craved bulkier food. I spoke with the nurse and was allowed to add in some cottage cheese as long as I chewed it well. I took a fork first and smashed it smooth and then ate it.  It is worth asking your doctor's office for bulkier options. I don't think it is head hunger. Chewing is part of what starts the process of feeling satisfied when we eat. You will be fine and what you are feeling is normal.
