Extreme makeover: weight loss edition

I give these people major props! They are losing 50% of their body weight in ONE year. Part of me is envious that they didn't have to get surgery to lose the weight. Like why couldn't I just do that? I'm grateful that I had the opportunity to get the sleeve and am making progress towards my goal but shoooot! Just a little bit of a vent :)

You mean you haven't done it several times like most of us on this site?  I have lost over one hundred pounds several times only to gain it right back.  This is why I think the sleeve is such a great tool to help me to keep it off this time!

I have a hard time sticking to it. That's why I got the sleeve.

Don't over think this! We are all on the right track! Extreme Makeover contestants have a live-in trainers for months, free food, nutritionist, don't work, a contestant salary, and have alleviated stressors... I am confident the sleeve is the best decision for me and happy I made it! Hang in there!

I actually know the girl from this past Sunday's episode...she worked her butt off, that's for sure! My personal trainer is the one who was hers in the whole process and told me about her crazy regimine and the HOURS that was put into workouts and constant food adjustments - etc, etc.

With all that said, I believe she is going to truly struggle keeping the weight off - just an observation. She is a very sweet person and has personally grown through this process but I think factors that are hard to change (if it's possible) that are in her life. I do wish the best for her and commend her for all the hard work she put into what she was able to accomplish.

Just my 2 cents :)

As in Chris Powell?! I have really picked up a lot of tips from him. He's awesome!

He is awesome - and he truly cares for his peeps...but he isn't my trainer (he's in Tucson, AZ). Our trainer's name is Melissa and she owns her own private studio in our area. The two of them didn't know each other before this experience but they are now good friends and will be doing all they can to help Ashley maintain her weightloss and health. If you go to ABC.com and go to the show's page, there is a "where are they now" video and it follows up on each person so far this season.
