I will start the pureed stage in 5 days. What were some of your favorites or recipe ideas during that stage?

I started today and did tuna w/ fat free mayo... Only I was able to hold that down...

I had a band but I use lots of chunky soups pureed and thinned down if too thick. I tried to use good protein ones like lentil and add protein powder to make sure it was high protein. I was just soooo sick of the sweet stuff from the liquid stsge I just had to have some savory tastes. Also used lots of refried beans and cottage cheese.

Cottage Cheese, scrambled eggs... the same ol' boring stuff.
But I did blend my favorite chicken tortilla soup in the blender until it was in a pureed consistancy. I couldn't stomach the lowfat cream of "whatever" soups. I also blended split pea soup. Once I was on mushies, I started to go more low carb since I cut out the blended soups. I was only eating maybe 2 tbsns worth of soup at that time so the little bit of carbs I was consuming didn't bother me since my diet was so restricted.
Gurl, I am so happy you are sleeved with us!!!

Did you use the while egg or just egg whites? I notice alot of people have a hard time with eggs in the beginning. I love chicken tortilla soup, which one did you use? I was thinking ff refried beans w/ a lil cheese, tuna and chicken salad, egg whites. Is the Ricotta bake good to eat in this stage?

All the items you just mentioned are great.  I was told to try egg whites first but I didn't like them so I just scrambled regular eggs.  I love the chicken tortilla soup from Fresh & Easy.  It comes in a glass jar.  So yummy!!!

I've saved one of my old posts just for this purpose, so here it is:

I had to blenderize everything for my mushy phase.  Added enough liquids so that the end result was of applesauce consistency and slid off a spoon.  Here's what I ate.

egg salad
scrambled eggs
tuna salad
chicken salad (use canned chicken since it's super soft)
chili
baked fish
laughing cow cheese wedges
ff refried beans with a little melted cheese
cottage cheese
ricotta cheese
the lowest carb cream soups I could find and then I added protein powder to them
ff plain greek yogurt (added a little splenda and cinnamon or pumpkin pie spice)
no sugar added applesauce
sugar free pudding
still used protein shakes, broth and other liquids to supplement mushies

I got creative with the flavors I added to things.  I used different spices and liquids to switch it up.  I must have made my chicken salad ten different ways: ff mayo, greek yogurt, dry hidden valley ranch seasoning, dry mustard seasoning, mild buffalo sauce, ff sour cream, etc.

Hope this helps!

Omg. Thank you soo much. This definitely helps. What kind of chilli did you use? And since you said you blenderized everything, what liquids do you use the give it that applesauce consistency, water, broth?

My local grocery store has an awesome deli section and they make soup there and sell it in individual cups.  That's where I got my chili.

For the liquids, I used water, broth, milk, etc to give the consistency.

Mushies aren't so bad.  Plus, it's temporary!
