Prayers needed

VSG on 08/27/12 with

Today I found out I have a 5mm spot on my lung....you know whats going thru my head. I was a long time smoker who quit 9 years ago. Any and all prayers please. They won't set a surgery date for my VSG till this is resolved.

Age 53, 5'2", HW 337, Pre OpW 312.5, SW ?, CW 286

I am so sorry. I know how frightened you must be but try to think positive - sometimes there are shadows or artifacts on CT scans or x rays. What test revealed the spot and why did you have it done - I mean were you having some symptoms or just pre surgerical testing?
What is your next step - more testing, biopsy?
Know it will be a long weekend - always better to know and have a plan than just imagining the worst. One hint - stay off the internet looking for what it could be - I was diagnosed with kidney cancer 11 years ago on a Friday - spent all weekend looking up stats - none were in my favor- made myself a quivering mess - when I asked my surgeon about what I had researched - he scolded me - and said you made yourself sicker and those stats do not apply to you.

So - try to think positive thoughts and keep us posted. Prayers going out for you!!
