They have calorie free gourmet coffee syrups at the Dollar Tree store, What?!?! They sure do. I believe the brand is called Cafe Al Fresco Gourmet Syrups and they have Vanilla, Caramel, Hazelnut and they or only one whole dollar!!!! I tried the caramel flavor in my premier protein chocolate shake... Yummy!!! Just thought I would share for those of us who are on a budget

Hi - I just happened to see your reply and wanted to share something with you - and you can always just hit "delete" if I'm being too pushy - but I bought a lot of "stuff" to have ready after my surgery and unfortunately I found that some of it either didn't taste good, or made me sick or just didn't satisfy whatever need I was looking for.
For instance I found that the nutra-sweet products tasted yucky to me, thought I was the only one that seemed to be having a problem since it's SO prevalent - until others on this forum said the same thing - so I used realy fruit juice and cut it with water to lower the calories. Also - certain protein shakes (and not the ones I bought) didn't agree with me either - I really had to shop around which was a surprise.
So - yes, have a few things ready - but don't over buy because one thing that a LOT of sleevers will tell you is that their taste buds changed dramatically after the surgery. I know everything seemed too sweet, too creamy or too rough for months to me. I couldn't seem to get seasonsing right on a lot of food I cooked (had to keep my salt shaker on the table when I had guests).
So - not to use a terrible pun, but - take all the suggestions for foods to have ready "with a grain of salt".
