I've heard some say there's a limit to how many grams of protein we can absorb at once, but I'm not convinced. That said, I generally go for a fairly high protein breakfast (30-40 grams if possible) and spread the rest through my day.
I aim for 100 grams of protein, and am supposed to eat 5 times a day. If I start the day with, say, 30 grams of protein, I then look for at least 20 grams each at lunch and supper and 10-15 at each snack. Yes, my life seems to all about the protein these days, but it's so worth it!

Nope. Your body is going to absorb everything you eat. NOW, the caveat is how that protein is used. If we didn't absorb the protein grams, then we could just subtract those 4 calories per gram of protein. So, your body is going to absorb. How it is assimilated, absorbed and then used is the significant value to choosing high quality whey protein isolate.

Protein is used at this stage for recovery, to protect your muscle tissue (which remember your heart is a muscle so you want all the protein you can tolerate) and to help keep your satisfied, get your body into fat burning mode.

The main concern with more than the normal 70-100grams of protein you see recommended is if you have kidney issues, disease or weakened kidney function. Push tons of fluids, additional protein can cause constipation as well.
