I am going on my fourth day and as I sit her watching my husband eat artichoke dip all I want to do is eat the whole thing. I am sitting here knowing this is the right thing I did, but I just want a giant sundae or something.

As I am waiting on my surgery the 27th....all I can offer is a huge hug and a prayer that it will get better for you.

I'm almost 7 days out and my trip to olive garden was hard today!! I've made similar posts as yours and many told me "tough, this is what you signed up for". Althought it's hard to swallow, it's tough love and it's true. This is what you wanted, and you just have to believe that things are going to get better. It's just anxiety that will pass. Good luck!

The preop and the first few weeks post op are the hardest. Once you get to where you can eat soft foods, it'll get easier. Just take a deep breath and remind yourself that this is all temporary. You can do this!

You are right, I can do this and I just need to keep telling myself that. It is so helpful hearing encouraging words and being able to be truthfully honest here.

Just hang in there. You will be happy you did. I feel for you. Try to stay away from the restaurants and others when they eat. Go in another room. Good Luck. I will be praying for you.

That is a good idea to go in other room. It is like I am trying to live through them and watch them ER. Bad idea!  Thanks for the encouragement!

Leaving the room is a great decision, as is coming here and getting your motivation back by seeing all these amazing people reaching their goals. You can do it!!
