One of those days
VSG on 07/02/12
On most days, I am a happy outgoing person who doesn't sweat the small stuff, but today (my day off work) I was not feeling any motivation and just wanted to stay in bed, even though I have sooo much to do. I will be 2 months out in 10 days already and the scale hasn't moved in almost 3 Weeks. My calories are 600-650 per day, I drink more than 64 oz of water per day, protein is 65-80 and carbs are under 40 on most days and I do 1 hour of zumba at least 3 times a week, So basically if my weight stays the same when I reach my 2 month surgiversary that means my total loss for month 2 would only be -3lbs and I also feel a little down for other personal reasons, right now I just feel like I am failing. I have never been whiny and I hope this is my only and last whiny post, just wanted to vent a little and with who else to do it with than with people who have gone thru the same and understand. On a Good note, I decided to get my butt off the bed go to Starbucks for my first very own iced coffee then do everything I have to do.today. Sorry for my downer post, but thanks for listening. Gabbz

I know, thank you. I didnt even really want to post this, cause I know its normal and there is millions of posts on here about stalls, but dang, when it actually happens to you it hits you hard especially when your only eating 600 calories a day and sticking to plan and you just frustrated cause you have never eating soo little calories and the darn scale doesnt move, your like wth? lol. Thanks once again
(((HUGS)))
Gabbz my gurl, I was in the same situation as you except my 3 week stall happened to me at week 3. It's very discouraging when you are doing everything right but the scale doesnt move. I promise you though, the scale will move again!!
You have my cell, dont you? If you ever want to text or talk, I am here for you. Luv ya gurl!!!
P.S. I'm drinking my iced coffee right now too!!!
Problem is, I worked thru breakfast so I might get the serious case of the shakes in a bit from all the caffiene, lol!

Ugh that is no fun! I am so NOT looking forward to hitting that 3 week stall. It is fast approaching. I'm afraid to step on the scale because I don't want to be disappointed! Have you tried doing a totally differen type of exercising, change it up? That can help with the boredom and I hear tell you can sort of shock your body out of a stall. I have also heard about people upping her calories to 800 just for a few days and oddly that can break a stall. I'm sure curious if those things work. If you try them let us know how it goes. I'm betting that stall wil break now any day! Hang in there...

Don't worry that scale will move! For the past two months I stall or have little loss for tow weeks and than lose 10 pounds in a week. No worries. It works I promise...just keep doing what your doing.

Oh yeah.... I remember the beginning! I never had a stall for quite as long but I had one that was over 2 weeks and I remember feeling like the world ended. I also know that I was depressd around the general 2-3 month time fram after surgery (and beyond!). On a good note, you're TOTALLY in the 100's and I bet you'll be damn near close to goal at 6 months. The thing with surgery is, that scale HAS to move some time and those numbers add up eventually. Even if it's 3 pounds at a time, eventually a bunch of 3 pounds equals goal.
