My 2 month surgiversary
VSG on 07/02/12
My 2 month surgiversary was yesterday! Total loss of 48lbs. I lost 21lbs preop thanks to tracking on MFP & the support and knowledge from those on OH. Postop, I have lost a total of 27lbs. The first month I lost 18lbs and the second month I lost 9lbs, which I think is pretty good considering I went thru the dreaded annoying stall. I am very happy with my progress. I am only 5lbs away from my half way point, yippee
I have had soooo many nsv's I am just to lazy to post them, lol. I am loving my tool
I must add, so had a smooth recovery and that first month after surgery was as hard as I thought it would be because the month before I had my vsg surgery I started cutting my food portions, cutting out alot of bad carbs and I stopped drinking while eating and 3 months prior to that, I had cut out all sodas and just drank water and ice tea with splenda and not only did it help me lose those 21 lbs before surgery, but it helped me postop, I was prepared mentally. One thing that helps you not freak out that first month is telling yourself, this liquid diet is just temporary, not forever, it gets easier everyday. After 6 weeks I felt like my normal self again, except this time around I eat way smaller portions and I am more happy and energetic. Thanks to my oh & mfp friends for all your support. It means alot. Newbies do your research, Sleevers Lets rock our sleeves, Vets keep rocking maintenance and thank you for being here for us even though you don't have to be
