Or maybe I should title this the Carb Police officer in Chief. Sometimes I just get so tired of reading the "stop telling me what to eat" posts around here. I really don't post here nearly as much as I used to for this very reason. Do you really think I care, deep down, what you are eating? Seriously? Eat chocolate eclairs smothered in ice cream for all I care, I don't know you, I don't know your history, your body or your medical conditions. If eating more carbs helps you get to goal, knock yourself out. If eating everything but just smaller portions is your idea of Nirvana and your path to your goals; get right to it. I don't have any desire to stand between you and your gummy bears, or Twinkies, or bagels or anything else. Eat up, enjoy.
I am not going to get into why moderation doesn't work to get most people to goal, if you really want to know why I believe that, ask me, otherwise I am somewhat tired of sharing it. If you want my advice, ask me, if you don't, seriously, that is OK with me. I don't need to convert you to my way of thinking. I know what works for me and those around me. I know what I credit to getting to goal. If I had to do it over again, I wouldn't change a thing, not one thing. This is MY journey, you are free to choose yours. Do I believe that most people that choose do go the high carb route will reach goal as I "see goal", no, but your goal might look very different from my definition of goal. Whatever works for you! However, if people ask me on this forum or in private what I think works, I am going to tell them MY truth and what my research and experience has shown me. If you hate me for it, well, that's your problem. I try to block people that obviously can't stand to hear what I have to say in order to bring some peace to their world and mine. I find it's easier to do than to call each other names or argue back and forth. If my point of view bothers you, block me. It might be better for your mental health and mine. Rant over.

Everyone has a right to post their opinions and everyone can take from it what is needed and disregard what doesn't apply. This shouldn't be taken as personal attacks but as opinions or personal experiences. I appreciate the valuable insight you share and hope you continue to share. I have yet to see your inputs as "carb attacks" and am surprised that "people" do take it as such.
As an onlooker though this drama stuff is too freaking funny. By the way Elina that last pumkin recipe looked fantastic and can't wait to try it.

It's on my profile. I put recipes there every once in a while, but only those people that have asked to be added to my friends list get a notice that I put something new up. I try to keep all the recipes low carb and/or high protein and low calorie. My husband is behind some of the very best ones there. He keeps wanting to make things that will knock my socks off, he succeeds beyond his wildest dreams. :) Just look at my profile, it is all there.
You are absolutely, 100% right; everybody has a right to post here and to express their opinions and my opinion is expressed in my rant today. At least that's my opinion for this morning. Have you ever had one of those mornings when you wake up and feel militant about not taking you know what from anybody? Well today was my "don't get in my face" morning. I woke up wanting a tattoo and a black lather jacket to wear with my skinny a## jeans. I feel like I need a Harley to ride this morning. I am doing that finger wagging thing that us white girls don't get just right, but I am trying. No way, no how, am I taking it today. I feel slightly bad a## or as bad a## as you can feel in bunny slippers. Have a great weekend.
As on any other forum I've been in, the block button is seriously under-utilized.. by those that really need to filter what they see. I have over a dozen folks blocked and have been blocked by a couple too.. It makes for a much better experience if you can't separate other peoples opinions out from your own emotional reaction, or you are just so sensitive to different voices.
I too need to do do low carb, but I also do higher fat as well.. my path. I've done this every which way from Friday and know where and what my body runs best on, and have read enough that I know (and see in my labs) that it addresses my specific biological needs.
I also am aware that my specific needs are fairly common in the MO.. take that as you will. Common denominators and all.. but I won't tell another to eat xyz, I only tell what I do. Everyone can infer as they like from there.. this is not a popularity contest.. and there are some voices that I disagree with, and those I agree with.. and for the most part, if I strongly disagree with the tone or the message- I keep my mouth shut. Everyone has a right to post their feelings.. and that means all views with no censoring.
One person railing against the carb po-po and telling them to back off is just as wrong as one person telling another they will certainly fail eating what they choose.. but neither should be censored.. ignored perhaps, yes.
