First let me say, that post was some bull**** Let me also say I've always loved what you've had to say and I think you're VERY level headed in all of your advice. You've gotten me through a lot of my crazy thoughts and made me realize that it really isn't a race. YOU have done magnificent. You have made better than great progress. Don't listen to the naysayers. Who the **** is this person anyway? You are successful based on YOUR plan as you say. I don't say much on these boards and I tend to stay out of the drama lately but seriously, this post is too far, and for someone who joined in the last month? They don't know what the **** they're talking about. I'm actually pissed right now. You're one of the few people who I don't tolerate people talking **** to. And need I remind you, when you posted about your progress a few months ago, even the folks who have the "opposite" views stated that your progress was awesome so this person can go suck 7 dicks.

Ok now let me add that men notoriously lose faster than women. That being said, strictly POST OP loss, at 8 months,

Rob- 125.9 pounds
Me- 116.6 pounds
Sleevegirl- 113 pounds

Really? Is that as dramatic of a difference as you just made it seem? 12.9 pounds when men lose faste than women? 1.6 average pound a month that Rob lost more than sleevegirl? Really? 1.16 average per month more than me? Men lose faster than women. It is what it is. Someone reaches goal faster when they have less to lose, their goal is higher and they lose more pre op. Those 1.6 pounds per month may add up but don't act like someone is a piece of **** because not losing a pound and a half more per month because they're still doing ******g great and when you look at the numbers, your argument is obviously out the window. Get a life.

Oh stop. Don't let someone being an asshole on the interwebs cause you to stop posting. Breaks are healthy but don't take too long of a break!

This is clearly a sockpuppet account. A glance at the post history and some common sense makes this quite obvious. No lurker would post with such impassioned and specific attacks on muliple people. 100 percent sockpuppet. A cross check on IP addresses woud reveal the pupetmaster, for anyone who cares....

But.... Meh. Who cares? You are awesome, and I think 99.9999 percent of us agree. So don't let the .00001 percent get you down!

I have to add that it REALLY cracks me up what this person had their sockpuppet post previously. Their only other post, made in august when the account was created, was asking everyone what they thought of the vets - who is giving good advice and who is a ***** etc.

Omg!!!! Lol!!!

A person who had allegedly been lurking for some time would not create an account to ask that and stir up gossip. They just wanted to -1- stir the pot and -2- find out 'undercover' what others thought of them.

Too funny.

Very likely true, sad and immature. But there are a lot of very ego-damaged people on message boards, and they act out in many different ways to get what they need out of it. If they are a real person, kudos to them for starting off on a memorable foot I guess?.. nothing I can really say about that one that hasn't been said perfectly before me.. if it is a puppet account, well.. they have to live with themselves in the end. I just prefer to block ******** like that.

Ah, I missed that (glad I checked my email I have hooked here). Thanks everyone else. I'm not going anywhere permanently. I just need to take a reality break. Plus I'm PMSy and I've had a really rotten week (two friends lost loved ones to cancer, a software I use every day when down for 3 days, it's just been a crappy week and this was just NOT what I needed - sockpuppet or not - people are absolutely horrible to each other sometimes and it sickens me).

Anyway, I'm just going to take a little break before I say something I REALLY regret.

Just to clear up though:
1. I'm not a vet. I don't pretend to be one. Heck, I don't think you're "vet" until you're at least 20 years out. LOL
2. Yes, I eat popcorn twice per month. On purpose. I deleted those posts because it had absolutely nothing to do with the original poster and I realized it didn't promote the conversation at all.
3. There are many foods I eat zero of because they trigger me. And many that aren't allowed in my home right now.
4. Know yourself, know your body and know your soul. That's where the real work in all this comes - the head. As I have clearly in my profile, counselling is probably the best thing I've ever done for myself.
5. I typically follow the standard 800 calorie / 80 protein / 40 carb plan promoted here. I just don't feel like there's a reason to jump all over folks if they choose something else or make a mistake. They obviously know what they have done. I'm not a shrink and I don't play one on a message board.
6. Success is what you make of it. My current weight is 190 pounds. I've not been this small since middle school (maybe?). I consider myself a success simply because of how I feel about myself and my life. That number on the scale means very little in the grand scheme of things.

Anyway, thanks for pointing this out SL, totally missed it because, frankly, it hurt my feelings. So if that's what the person was after... they got it. Hope they are happy.

In the meantime, my hubby made an amazing tenderloin tonight so I'm off for dinner. I'll catch up with you guys later. I just need a breather.

Go enjoy your dinner, and I agree with ever SINGLE point you made above 100%. You are a very sane voice around here (PMS or no.)

((hugs))
