Sugar free sweet pickles and low blood pressure
The docs want me increasing sodium due to low blood pressure, and it has worked brilliantly. I feel much better- almost no dizziness or light headedness. I am not drawn to sodium laced products though, so today was happy to see that Meijer carries a sugar free sweet pickle. 0 calories and lots of sodium. The doc has originally suggested eating a pickle a day, but the dill variety just isn't my thing so this was just the ticket. Just sharing out for anyone else out there in the same boat.

Mt. Olive also makes a sugar free sweet pickle relish. I like to add it to egg salad or tuna salad for a bit of crunch. You could also season with a little hot sauce, which usually has some salt, or prepared mustard (MANY varieties to choose from).
Meijers makes a version of sugar free relish also- I have been using that for a while, but would not just get a spoonful to munch on :) I will keep an eye out for the Mt. Olive brand, thanks for the tip :0

Kelly-Anne -- Have you looked at www.netrition.com? I think they ship to Canada, and they have some grocery items (like SF pickles) that you can get here -- but they also carry DaVinci Syrups, protein powders, etc. For US, it's flat rate shipping, not sure for Canada -- but I often add "grocery items" since it's coming right to my door! And there's Amazon!
Good luck!
I think I may have to learn to make my own pickles or stick with regular dills.
Thanks for the suggestion. I really do appreciate it. I get frustrated sometimes, but have to give myself a little shake. We don't have as much as you do, but we have LOTS more than many, and we can order some things from across the border - many can't.
