Do you weigh the food cooked or uncooked?

I weigh a lot of my food, and weigh it in the state I plan to eat it. I have a digital kitchen scale and have developed the habit of putting my bowl or plate on it, poking the on button, then repoking it after recording the weight of each item. Yes, I am that anal. (But it makes recording easy)

Both. When I prepare my uncooked portions for the freezer I weigh them. When there is something cooked that I am about to eat, I weigh it.So what weight do you use then? I would think something uncooked would weigh less after it was cooked.

I weigh cooked food. If you record uncooked food you wont get an accurate amount. Think of hamburger...if you cook and drain the fat it will only weight about 1/2 of what it does once cooked.
