I am not sure why but I feel very hungry and I really want to snack. I haven't yet, but I want to. I have taken my PPI so its not acid. Its probably head hunger. I just needed to vent.

Keith,

I'm really surprised to hear that you're feeling hunger. I guess I didn't expect anyone to have those for many, many months.

Be strong!!

Its not real hunger. I am sure it is head hunger. Something is off today and I just haven't figured out what it is yet.

Hey Honey,

you are STRONG. You can get through this phase. Eat something that is dense and has a load of protein.

I am hungry a lot myself but I never know if it is head hunger or actual physical hunger since my stomach always make noises and growls. Granted I am only 9 days post-op and maybe my hunger hormone is still playing tricks on my brain, but when I can't stand it, I eat something that I am allowed and something that I know will make me feel full.

I am with you Buddy in my thoughts and I know you will be fine.

Hugs,

Rita

Oomph! I'm only 4 days post op and I feel 'hunger' but its probably the gurgles going on. Weird. Today is better for me thank god. Got in some jello. Is it bad to try yogurt tomorrow? I'm not sure. I'm bored with clears!

At your stage, hunger is most likely stomach acid. Try prilosec or an acid reducer and it will go away.

Yeah that's hard but it is also reality. You will constantly be challenged with food choice and more often than not you will come face to face with your formerly favorite foods. You have to make the right choice. It's not easy. This was not the easy way out. It's just a tool that can be misused like any other tool.

I've had the flu all week and even though I never really wanted to eat (at meal times), I always felt hungry...so I know how you feel.  And, it usually happened in the evening.

It's actually happening right now.

This sucks.
