final visit with NUT pre-op and a potential DATE!!
This is very very very iffy since I don't have insurance approval yet, but I talked to the insurance coordinator today and she said she was "saving" me a spot on Dec. 27!!!
The wrench, of course, is that I didn't realize I needed the pre-op physical stuff before paperwork could be submitted to my insurance, so I called and was able to finagle an appointment for Monday, Dec. 17 for that. Hopefully I can convince that dr. to get the paperwork done and faxed over really quickly so that I can get that date. I'd really love to be sleeved in 2012, both because my husband already has time off work and it will be easier with him here with the kids and because I'm just ready to get started (even though that means I'll be on full liquids for Christmas).
I'm pretty darned excited, as you can tell. Attending my first support group meeting tonight as well (see you there, Elina!!).
Anything I "must" get before surgery?
Also, I'm wondering about "food funerals." I was thinking today about whether there was anything I wanted to have "just one last time," and really, I can't think of anything (this is SHOCKING to me). I mean, there are of course plenty of foods I enjoy and especially at this time of year I'm sure to encounter them, but I know if I eat carbs I'll just want more, and after prying myself out of their grip in the midst of PMS last week (sorry if that's tmi), I hesitate to set myself up for that again.
What do the vets think? Should I set up a "last meal" or just keep on keeping on?
