It was just something he said in passing....

Elina,

I have been following you and your suggestions ever since I started seriously pursuing VSG earlier this year. I was sleeved on 8/31 at 193.5 and am 144 today. I'm 5'2. I rarely go over 400 calories and my carbs are less than 20. I eat your veggie soup for dinner every night. I make a conscious effort to under-eat my sleeve (thanks Frisco)

I just want you to know how much you and the other vets have impacted me. My initial goal was 130 but now I'm looking at 120 and I think I will  actually make it.

For the life of me, I can't remember the rule about 80% of EAS but I think I'm on track for 31/2 months out.

Thank you so much for sharing your strength and wisdom :-)

You seriously made me cry.  I am not kidding, I am sitting here with my dog on my lap and tears are just pouring out of my eyes.  I can't tell you how grateful I am for your post.  I want to make a positive impact, I think we all do, and hearing your response gives me so much motivation to keep going.

You are doing so well, and I have no doubt that you will hit any goal you set for yourself, any goal at all.  I have a sneaky suspicion you might be going all the way to 115 lbs.  Let me know when you are few pounds away from maintenance and I will help you glide into your first few months as you transition.  You might need a little extra support at that time.

You really do make an impact with your words of wisdom and just by sharing your experience. I rarely post, but do read this board frequently and appreciate how people are willing to share what they've learned, especially 3 years later when they have seen/heard just about everything but still take the time to post.

Thanks for your words of support to me. They mean a lot. In my past weight loss efforts I was always just trying to get to 159. I never made it. Now I've blasted through it and am 144. So close to 130! 115 seems like an impossible dream, but to me, so was 159. I tried for 5-10 years to get that number and found it in a matter of months,

I appreciate your offer to help me with maintenance and will be contacting you for help when I'm close.
