==> Welcome new members! FAQ for you! <===
Hi guys! Sorry I haven't been posting! In fact, it's been soooooooo long, I'm pretty sure nobody knows me! I'm coming up on my 2-yr surgiversary 1/10, so you'll hear from me then! Anyway, this is a link to FAQs that was put together by vets when i was new. Tons of info. Also, I guess I'm a vet now (yikes!) so ask away!
Hi newbies -- this was created quite a while ago, but passing it along b/c it has good info in it! ann
Welcome to the VSG board! The veterans of this board want to share a few links with you that will answer common questions and get you started on the way!
These links represent questions we see frequently and tend to have thorough responses to answer those questions in the thread. If you read these messages, you’ll be much more knowledgeable about what you are likely to see during your VSG experience.
Veterans, if you would like to add to this list, please PM me. Feel free to copy and paste this message and link to the FAQ elsewhere or send to others to help answer questions for new members.
FAQ:
If you have a question or need information, before opening a new thread, try the "SEARCH" box at the top right hand side of the page. This is a quick and easy way to get an answer to many questions because many questions have been asked and responded to before quite thoroughly.
Hope that helps!
Hmmmm, plastiques! Results are great. my boobs now watch me brush my teeth in the morning instead of watching me tie my shoes (my big, tall, Texan dude nurse practitioner at the WLS center told me that one and it makes me laugh!). it is pretty amazing. let's just say (delicately) that i haven't seen the "front" of my boobs in probably 20 yrears, so that's pretty funny! tummy tuck is also great, though i have some weird wound healing problem that's still a work in progress. i loved my surgeon who is a real, true, hospital plastic surgeon, not a cosmetic surgeon, if you know what i mean. she works in one of the major medical centers in dc which serves all sorts of people, woks with burn victims, reconstruction after cancer, stuff like that. her husband just died and i sent her a card -- that's how much i love having her as much surgeon. her husband was a cousin of a good friend, which is how i ended up with her, so she let me know. awful.
well, that was long. the downside, i would say is that it hurt like hell, i have a scar from hip to hip and under each boob and past my armpits. don't really care about scars, but still! so, i'm really glad i did it (in love with new boobs and eveyone i know knows it (no filter!) but NO MORE ELECTIVE SURGERY!!!! The next time i have surgery it will because they are removing an organ!
feel free to ask any questions -- 2 years out and i've been thru the gamut! thanks for asking about the surgery -- and for remembering me! ![]()
