5 day test

Anyone with a sleeve ever do the 5 day pouch test that the RNY people talk about?  I'm thinking about doing it next week to get myself back on track and back off the carbs, mindless grazing, and not drinking enough water that's been plaguing me for the last couple of weeks.  Really need to shock my system back into following the plan.  I've lost control lately and I'm at that touchy 6 month point where not following the plan exactly is going to break me.

Sorry to hear you are struggling but you are still relatively early in your journey so you can still get back on track, for sure.

I'm still pretty new around here but I've heard people ask this question before when they are trying to get back on track. I'm never sure about what the 5 day test accomplishes. Why not just go back to the VSG basics? Measured portions of dense protein which is eaten first, no drinking with meals, etc? Maybe I don't fully understand, but your sleeve is still a very powerful tool, so why not go back to the basics of making it work for you instead of putting yourself through another process?

I do not know about this 5 day test, but whatever it entails I would think an easier plan would be to just focus on protein solely for a few days food-wise, and water and/or protein drinks. I just got back from vacation and was only getting the bare minimum of fluids for most of the week I was gone, and it's taken me 4 days to get back up to the 100-120 ounces I normally drink. I would just take however many days to get back into the positive habits we need to live with.
