3 Months!

I'm three months out and 64 pounds down.  I feel good about my weight loss, but obviously I wi**** was more. My hips, waist and thigh measurements are each down about 5 inches, and my chest measurement is down 2 (not complaining about that).  I'm down three sizes in pants.  Here's hoping next week for my next post-op visit, my doc doesn't say I'm behind by 4-5 pounds again.  If he does, though, I will just keep right on trucking.  I hope everyone has a fantastic day!

It sounds like you are doing great!  Don't let the doctor get you down.  My doctor is just the opposite, she won't really give me any guidelines, I think it is because she doesn't want to pressure and realizes that everyone is different.  I am losing and that is what counts.

Good Job!!!

I'm a week ahead of you and I'm down 62 lbs I know we want to be down more, but I think it's all good.  I go back to the doc on the 21st.  Oh and the 62, is including the 2 weeks pre-op.. I can't remember what I weighed the day of surgery so I just keep going from my pre-op weight.   Keep on trucking is right!

That's all you can do..is to keep going, keep on plan and try not to let yourself think about only if I lost more..you know 64 lbs is a lot.  64 lbs it practically half an adult person!!  That's pretty darn good in my opinion!!! :)

Highest Wt: 264, band May '05, pre sleeve wt 235, current 189, personal goal 140

I didn't mean to sound down.  I'm not at all.  In fact, I'm thrilled with my success.  I'm below my prepregnancy weight, I've gotten to shop in my own closet, I don't hide from events or photos anymore.  My doc just burst my bubble at my last appointment, so I'm hoping I've done well enough that that doesn't happen again.  Regardless, it's motivating.  As much as we all love a little sunshine up our butts, I do well with tough love :)
