Anyone have a psoriasis flare-up after surgery?  I have occasionally gotten a few spots of psoriasis over the years that I treat with steroid cream.  It seems that I've found several new spots just this past week.

Sign of a vitamin/mineral imbalance perhaps?

I got a minor flare after surgery, I chalked it up to stress (my largest trigger), and lack of oil in my diet at the time...things are back to normal now, and even with the cold weather, I've been managing with just lots of non-mineral oil based lotions.

Pretty normal to have a flare-up after surgery - immune response is heightened, which makes psoriasis worse.

Ruggie's response make a lot of sense. I definitely had a flare-up after surgery, but that was because I had to go off the biologic drugs that keep my psoriasis under control.

omg i have developed horrible psoriasis!  it started on the back of my head, 2 months post-op, and since then has progressed to my entire scalp, ears, back, arms, groin, buttocks and legs!   It is a full-time jo*****ing and picking!!!  I am surrounded in flakes and can't wear dark-colored shirts.  I have tried several treatments and am still trying to find something that works.  I never had anything like this prior to surgery, has anyone else had this experience?

Blessings to all!  JulzieLoo
