High Fiber Quest
I have been doing some searching. I found a tool that lets you search by food characteristics such has highest fiber with lowest sugar. The one micronutrient that I have been very bad about emphasizing is fiber and it shows in all the ways we are far too familiar with in our journey. The problem with high fiber foods is that they are also loaded with other carbohydrates except for one. Corn Bran 1/4 cup of this stuff has 20 calories, 25 carbs but 22 of it is fiber. I am not sure what you can do with this stuff but I am sort of feeling a vanilla protein corn muffin in my future.
Anyone know of any other high fiber low sugar foods? I am trying to find a close 2nd but nothing is even in the same game let alone ballpark.

I used oat bran and wheat bran and often added some to my yogurt along with a few raspberries. The oat bran is more carbs for the fiber, but a fair bit of protein as well, while the wheat bran is a bit more than 4g fiber for 6 carbs in 10g of bran, an amount that easily mixes into a half cup of yogurt. The corn bran is worth trying (I would have had I known about it back then) and if I can find a convenient supplier I may throw some into my waffle mix instead of the wheat or oat.
