Sleeved on 2-25-13

I was sleeved on 2/25 as well. I stopped taking my pain med yesterday. I do feel a lot of soreness around the incision site above my belly button & that does get worse when I have to sit down & get back up but it's not unbearable. Where is most of your pain coming from? All over or just in one spot? Walking has been what's helped me the most. You've got to work on getting out those gas bubbles. I've noticed tha****er likes to come back up but when I drink Gatorade or my delicious chicken broth it stays down very well.
I wish I could take away your pain. I hope you feel better very, very soon.

Good Luck, XO,
Hilary

A HUGE thanks to all *****sponded to my post. Talked to the surgeon says he's not going to change my pain med ( so I've started taking it every 4 hours instead of 6), started taking the gas x strips, up walking (using a cane to support) and sipping my insopure , my heating pad on my tummy. I feel better than when I posted earlier. This website is such a great support.

God bless you all.

I sat on a pillow on the couch or recliner. I kept a heating pad on low and laid that on my stomach. Gentle heat just felt good. I also kept a pillow on my tummy. It helped to hold it against my tummy when I got up.

hey Divarn,

Sorry to hear you are having so much pain., I was sleeved on the 18th and the first few days were bad. I found that sleeping in a recliner helped and wearing the binder was so much helpful. Make sure you are given the right size binder because one too small is bad as one too big. Good Luck.
