Good morning to all,

was sleeved on 2-25 was discharged home the following evening. Recovery has been painful yet better each day.  I thought I read and understood all the info I learned in the classes but now I'm not so sure . First I don't feel the ' restriction ' everybody talks about, I even questioned if I had my surgery even done.  Today was my first day advancing to full liquids and the cream of wheat was kinda painful going down, I haven't loss any weight I'm the same weight as I was the morning of surgery, I notice I can get the isopure and iced tea down but plain water doesn't feel so good.

my surgery was done as kaiser in Los Angeles and my post op visit with the surgeon is scheduled for this Thursday . I will ask these questions but just wanted to get some insight from the board. I'm taking all vitamins as ordered, I'm walking, sipping and resting and measuring everything - but after I read some of the post by people sleeved the same day as me- I feel like something is wrong.

I had a hard time with plain water post op also- I mixed Sythrax protein in it and it goes down fine. Just go slow with everything, you will be fine.

I had mine at kaiser w la also. I drink water with crystal light. Also unjury chicken broth has 27 grams of protein in 8 ounces of water. Warm it's yummy. You should speak to Giti of Sela to see how much liquid you should be taking in per hour. If you overdo it you will throw up or feel like you will burst. Just under do it.

Also have you tried instant grits? & if your having a hard time try smaller bites with more liquid.
