Restriction and Undereating

Hmmm, that's an undereat?  Very Interesting.  I think I undereat my sleeve because I am too chicken to overeat and feel any discomfort at all.  Still  I never realize how small a portion I eat until I am forced to eat with others which is not often as I avoid.

What do you suggest for someone like me who hasn't lost all their excess weight at this point.  I have no hunger at all.  I don't eat a huge amount at all but for sure I am undereating my sleeve too many times per day .

Funny I can and do eat whole apples - skin and all (not kids size).  I was befuddled by that post on the M. forum when  most people said they couldn't finish an entire apple.  What do you think of me eating a whole apple?  I tend to be able to eat fairly big salads too and I am certainly not stuffing myself when I do this.  Do you think it is rapid gastric emptying when it is not solid protein? Serious I am puzzled and need to put a muzzle on my mouth for the too many undereats - right - WTF!!!

Sorry just curious.

You know there was a lovely sleeve person  here who I adore.  They gained back over 200lbs and got a DS.  When the doc (a good well known one) checked their sleeve, it was "perfect', "intact" - not stretched.  So even if our sleeves do not stretch we can do ourselves in by eating what we want when we want it.

This is complicated

Thanks for always sharing Frisco

I'm most definately NOT Frisco but I think the issues is the same with salad and the apple in that it is mostly liquid, has a lot of moisture in the lettuce and the apple. So by the time you chew it up it ends up being next to nothing by the time it hits the stomach. So while they are solid they aren't dense so they don't take up as much room or stay in the stomach as long.

Hey thanks!

There was a post on the sleeve maintenance forum in which most pEople said they could not eat a whoLe apple.  Agh, this tablet Types so damned Weird!!!

I know too that my eating wasn't such a huge shift when I was sleeve from the habits I developed being banded for Years and even Way before WLS developing a huge shift to a smarter/lower carb lifestyle hence not a shock and not huge weight loss.  Still I couldn't be happier With my sleeved stomach.  Just gotta keep at it my lifetime :).

All best,

Layla

The thanksgiving feeling for me turned into a disgusting feeling quickly after so I have no desire to return there. I appreciate my new satisfied feeling, I have yet to feel "full" since surgery and have no need to. It doesn't take much for me to feel like I don't need to eat more, I work on my head issues of "wanting" to eat more but I don't. I agree, under eating and preservation is key.

For me eating until I am full is just plain uncomfortable.
